I have been on the hunt for the perfect work bag for years - literally years. I have spent so much money on bags that have never fit the bill - the hunt continued. And then...like magic, the Maika commuter tote appeared. Here is what counted as the perfect bag for me - that the commuter tote checked every single box:
1. Must fit my 17" laptop (it fits, as in I can actually zip up the bag! And bonus - there is a padded spot for it).
2. It must have an outside pocket for my water bottle (this one has a super cool zip pouch so you can put a small bottle in or a medium size bottle - not a super large one)
3. It must have a funky cool design (Maika more than fit this - I love my tangerine, and honestly it was a struggle to just pick one. You can do classic or funky - I'm someone who likes color and this is perfect!!)
4. It must have handles and a cross body strap (this one has cool vegan leather straps - both handles, AND I can do either an over the shoulder strap or expand to be crossbody).
5. It must have zipped pockets (this one is just okay, I wish the outside pocket zipped, and there is a small one inside that I wish was bigger - but I just bought a cute pouch to go inside).

Just received my bag & I’m excited to use it on my next trip. It’s going to keep everything much more organized than my old bag!

I bought a commuter tote last year and love it. When the new version came out with the trolley sleeve, I had to upgrade. I have also bought totes as gifts.

I am so glad my friend showed me this bag! It is perfect! It has tons of pockets, fits ALL my stuff with ease, including my laptop, its cute, and has 2 types of straps! The quality is mint. I'm in love!!
