I love all the Maika bags and am giving them for Christmas gifts. This one is my favorite now. They are so durable and easy to carry all my needs.

I ordered the commuter tote in Mendocino, that's the pattern in green with the mushrooms on it. Very cute. I didn't use the tote on my most recent trip as I needed something bigger, but I think it will come in handy on other trips. There is a luggage sleeve on the back, so you can slip it over the handles of your roller bag or clamshell. There is a large slip pocket on the front perfect for a kindle, newspaper, boarding pass, phone, water bottle. The commuter tote does have a water bottle compartment on one side which unzips to hold a water bottle, but I don't think it will hold a very large bottle. Inside there are two slip pockets and one zip and a padded divider behind which one could put an IPad or a laptop. There are both handles and a strap. Most recently with my other bag, I used the strap to go up a level in the parking garage, then put the strap away and just used the handles to slide the tote I was using onto and off the handles of the suitcase. The Mendocino pattern is mainly green with bronze, black and white mushrooms. Very attractive. One thing to note for us older ladies (I am 70). The bags are made of canvas, so they are a little bit heavy. Probably only notable to someone of my age with sore shoulders.

I had been looking for a laptop tote for almost a year, then found Maika. I ordered the Commuter tote with the mushroom pattern. It is beautiful, well made, and sized for someone my size (5’6”) yet it has lots of extra space for books, misc stuff, and the water bottle compartment fits my hydroflask. Perfect!!!

My second commuter tote. Gave the first one in a differnt print to my daughter and she's happy with it, it was the older style that did not have the trolley sleeve. Ordered one in Mendocino for myself and saw the design change with the trolley sleeve, and I don't like it. I do not plan to use this for travel with a rolling case very often and it just gets in the way and doesn't lay flat against the bag, making it look kind of frumpy, I wish there was an option without it. Also I'm a bit skeptical the plastic "faux leather" handles will hold up, but we'll see. Otherwise I like the bag, it's a good size for my needs, the print is very cute, and I think the price is very reasonable for what you get.
